François-Denis POITRINAL


   
    François-Denis Poitrinal was born in 1958. Throughout his career he has been a barrister,            both at the Paris Court and at the New York City Bar. He graduated from the Paris Institute of         Political Studies (1980) and ESSEC (1984) and went on to obtain an LL.M. from Columbia             University Law School, New York (1985).

In 1989 he founded, and subsequently directed, Poitrinal & Associés/Galexia, a legal practice specialising in private equity operations. In 2000, François-Denis Poitrinal merged his company with the Deloitte & Touche group, where he held the position of managing partner for the legal division.

In 2004, François-Denis Poitrinal left the Deloitte & Touche group and founded an investment company, Windhurst Participations. Together with a small team of specialists, he has developed investment and investment advisory activities in the area of private equity transactions in mid-cap and technological operations.

One of the activities of this company was to launch the European Research and Innovation Exhibition, which was first held in Paris in June 2005.

He is the author of a number of works, including Capital Investissement – Guide juridique et fiscal (¹) Revue Banque Edition, 2nd edition, 2001) and Révolution Contractuelle du Droit des Sociétés, dynamique et paradoxes (²) (Revue Banque Edition, 2003). He is also co-author, with Edouard Salustro and under the direction of Alain Burlaud, of Comptabilité et Droit comptableL’intelligence des comptes et leur cadre legal (³) (Gualino, 1998)
